Couples trying for a
baby have been told that chances of conception may increase if both partners
adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Tamzin freeman, the founder of tamzinfreeman.co.uk, said fertility could be boosted if people looked after their wellbeing.
She explained that stress needs to be controlled – with exercise or acupuncture
viable options for doing so and a good diet and healthy weight would increases
chances of conception too.
"Have a good mix of protein, including some red meat and ample vegetables.
This provides essential nutrients and fibre too," Ms Freeman stated.
However, she also told would-be parents not to expect results straight away,
adding that it could take up four months for fertility to return to an optimum
level.
In the UK in 2010, the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority states that
45,264 women underwent cycles of in-vitro fertilisation or intra-cytoplasmic
sperm injection, with the majority of patients being under the age of 37.
