Barclays to deal quickly with payment protection insurance complaints
Barclays will reimburse all customers who complained about the sale of their payment protection insurance before 20 April in full (plus 8% interest) without any further investigation of the individual claims.
Barclays considers this will be the best way to address the backlog. Barclays set aside £1billion to cover the cost of compensation.
