The Association of Voluntary Organisations in Wrexham (AVOW) has been commended for demonstrating its commitment to the health and wellbeing of its employees by receiving a Simplyhealth healthy workplace award. The awards recognise the contribution that organizations make to the welfare of employees. Winners of the award provide employees with a range of initiatives and benefits that help to keep their workforce motivated and healthy.
John Gallanders of AVOW comments, "We operate an extensive support programme for all of our employees, which includes access to company bikes for travel around town, accessible car parking, pension scheme and reduced membership fees at a local gym. We actively encourage our employees to use our employee assistance programme and undertake an occupational health assessment."
