UnumProvident, the UK’s leading disability insurer, has shortened its trading name to Unum and introduced a new corporate identity.
The move follows the decision of its US parent, UnumProvident Corporation, to change its corporate entity to Unum Group S.
Unum Ltd in the UK now uses the trading name Unum .
On its individual protection products, the maximum benefit has been increased to £200,000 – except on the special product for higher risk occupations; Essential Ability Cover, where the limit has been increased to £ 25,000.
On all three, various improvements have been made, including the removal of the pregnancy exclusion.
Many rates have been reduced, an average price reduction of 20%.
