Health insurer BCWA has launched Personal Health, a new Individual Private Medical Insurance plan.
It is flexible and affordable while making the claims process simpler for members by removing the paperwork burden.
A new claims handling and customer care system, Service+, helps lower prices. Service+ provides personal service and agrees claims over-the-phone, so removing the uncertainty and stress that is often experienced by people as they wait to find out if their claim will be covered. The Service+ process arranges for customers to use hospitals within 35 miles of their homes.
Personal Health is a
Choice of Cover health insurance product with five options. These include outpatient tests and consultations; acute surgery; complementary therapy; treatment for cancer and heart conditions; and dental and optical.
A low claims discount will reward long-term customers who make few claims. The scheme works by providing all new members with a discount of at least 25% which is then increased by 5% for each year that their claims amount to less than a third of their premium, to a maximum of 50%. If claims are higher than 66% in any year, members lose 10% of their discount.
