Ombudsman calls for earlier intervention by financial regulators
The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) has said that regulators must act faster when it becomes obvious that there are problems over widespread mis-selling or particular financial products.
It calls on regulators, insures and banks to act faster and to work on the spirit of the law and consumer benefit, rather than relying on the letter of the law to drag out disputes.Health insurance news: 8 July 2011
