Leading cash plan provider Medicash has recruited a new broker manager to strengthen its sales team. Russell Upton (40) joins from BUPA and will be responsible for managing relationships with intermediaries and generating sales.
Chief Executive Sue Weir said: "Russell comes from a strong background in PMI sales and we are pleased he has chosen to join Medicash. We have seen a sharp rise in the take up of corporate plans and decided to create a new role to address the fact that intermediaries as critical to maintaining this success. Russell is ambitious and driven with strong people skills. He is well placed to make a big impact on the broker market and we are confident he will prove an asset to the business."
Russell said: "Medicash has a longstanding track record in successfully delivering cash plans to individuals and corporates. Before joining Medicash Russell worked for BUPA for nine years where he led intermediary development. He joins Medicash's existing sales team which is headed up by Paul Gambon.
Last year was a record for Medicash in terms of b2b sales and management predict a successful 2011 for the 70 strong Liverpool based firm.
Russell lives in Manchester and outside work enjoys golf and running.
