Lloyd’s Charities Trust, the grant-making charity of the Lloyd’s insurance market, has donated £50,000 to the East Africa Crisis Appeal.
More than 10million people in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia and the newly formed Republic of South Sudan have been left in need of food, water and emergency healthcare following the worst drought in 60 years.
The money donated by LCT will go towards providing the basics to help keep people alive, including food, water and re-hydration kits for children.
