Westfield Health is backing a life-saving appeal by the British Red Cross to purchase a new high-tech ambulance for the South Yorkshire region. The company has donated £5000 to the charity’s appeal to help it continue to support people in need of urgent medical attention.
The British Red Cross provides first-aid cover at events such as football matches and concerts and transports people to and from hospital. It now needs to replace its old vehicle with a new state-of–the-art ambulance. The donation from Westfield has boosted the appeal and brings the fundraising total to £57,000 – with a target of £65,000.
