Bupa International has launched Worldwide Health Options, a flexible international health plan that can be tailor-made to suit individual customers’ needs.
The core cover is for treatment received during an overnight hospital stay or as a day-case patient up to a maximum of £1,500,000 each membership year. All surgery, cancer treatment and advanced imaging are also included as well as transplant services, intensive care and transport by ambulance.
It is modular and features options:
Specialist treatment including where no hospital stay is needed
Prescribed medicines and medical equipment
Health screening, vaccinations, dental and optical treatment
A range of deductibles
Plans can be assembled to suit individual circumstances and the country where you spend most of your time. You can be treated in any of Bupa’s 5500 world network of hospitals and clinics.
David Grint for Bupa International says, “Research shows that our customers want to be able to tailor cover to match their healthcare needs. The modular nature of the new plan enables us to offer people more choice and be more responsive to our customers’ requirements. As we move into new territories we can adapt the modules, rather than having to establish a new product that accounts for local compliance and regulation issues.”
As well as round-the-clock telephone support, customers can manage their cover online where they can access a comprehensive library of information. They can view their plan, update their personal details, track the progress of their claims, make payments, download forms and talk to Bupa 24 hours a day using the free webchat service. This is all backed up by direct settlement of bills for treatment.
