Equity Red Star is launching a new family personal accident policy for sale via insurance brokers.
Colin Mansfield, Equity's accident and health underwriting manager says: "Recent government statistics reveal that 84,000 people are injured in DIY and gardening-related accidents each year, while around 95,000 children are injured at school.”
Offering protection to any family member aged from one month to 75 years of age, without the need for any medical underwriting questions or reports, the new policy includes children up to 18 (23 if in full-time education) and is available with a choice of standard or super cover.
It covers accidents that may happen in the home, at work, at school or whilst travelling abroad. Both levels of cover provide tax-free sums for a wide range of permanent disabilities.
The ERS family personal accident policy has been created specifically to address the fact that the aftermath of serious accidents often leads to modifications or mobility aids being required in the victim's home.
Equity Red Star, the largest personal lines syndicate at Lloyd’s, is the UK’s 5th largest motor insurer, and has been providing insurance to business and personal lines customers for the past 60 years.
