EU healthcard to apply in Romania

UK citizens will soon be able to use the EU health insurance card in Romania. The government is now going to allow free circulation of EU and European Economic Area citizens in Romania.

 

There are special rules for Romania.

 

Any visitor, whose behavior presents "a real, current and sufficiently serious threat" to the fundamental values of Romanian society, can be taken into custody and /or expelled from the country.

 

Any visitor with "a suspected dangerous ailment " can be forced to take a free medical test. The Ministry of Health is still deciding what ailments can be labeled dangerous.
