People who rely on
glasses or contact lenses can see significant improvements to their quality of
life if they opt for laser eye treatment.
Stephen Hannan,
professional services manager at opticalexpress.co.uk, said the procedure gives
people the scope for much more freedom.
He explained that simple things such as seeing their children while they are
splashing about in the swimming pool or defining the time on an alarm clock
when they wake up were often undervalued.
Exercise becomes much easier without the use of spectacles and laser eye
surgery is much more practical than contact lenses, said Mr Hannan.
"Many patients will benefit in their profession. We have treated doctors
and dentists, solicitors and sportsmen, teachers, and professional drivers to
name but a few," he added.
According to BBC Health, laser eye surgery is now a common procedure in the UK,
with many patients having both eyes operated on on the same day.
