BMI Healthcare announces the appointment of Rod Mason as
the new Executive Director of BMI Bath Clinic in Combe Down.
Rod, a business studies graduate from Stirling University,
takes up the post at BMI Bath Clinic with an already impressive track record including
posts as General Manager of two private hospitals in Tyne and Wear and Leeds.
Rod, who has a wife of seven years and two young children,
has a wealth of commercial and operational experience gained across several
industry sectors. Many of Rod’s previous roles had a strong sales and
operational focus, primarily in private healthcare for Bupa. He developed his
strong commercial focus from both the retail and hotel and catering industries.
Rod’s most recent healthcare role was a successful spell as Sales and
Operations Director for one of the UK’s leading eye laser businesses,
Ultralase.
BMI Bath Clinic provides patients access to private care
through medical insurance, options to pay for their own care and access to
treatment through the NHS choose and book route. Rod said: "I’m delighted to be
joining BMI Bath Clinic. It’s a great opportunity to work in a hospital that
has a long established reputation with excellent facilities. I’m certainly very
comfortable in an environment where I can get involved with the day to day
operations, working with the team that make it all happen. Patient interaction
and getting to know my team is vital to me. Delivery of our service is of key

places; I’m very fortunate to be able to return to an area of my career that I
thoroughly enjoyed."
