It is the time of year when many of us resolve to lose weight and tone up after weeks of festive over-indulgence. But according to a new survey the cost of joining a gym is putting many people off their New Year’s resolution, because a third think the membership is too expensive.
The report’s findings are worrying because it recognized that a fit and healthy lifestyle, including taking the recommended half hour a day of exercise, is essential for physical and mental wellbeing.
But keeping fit and healthy does not need to be expensive. Many of Westfield’s health cash plans offer a range of healthcare benefits and services, including a health club concession benefit, which encourages policyholders to take up gym membership by offering special concessionary deals at a wide range of UK health and fitness clubs.
