Aviva has introduced premium reductions for when cancer or multiple sclerosis exclusions are necessary under its critical illness plans.
This means customers with pre-existing conditions or family history can still get critical illness cover from Aviva when the conditions are excluded and pay only for the level of cover they receive.
Matt Morris from advisors LifeSearch comments, “Aviva's latest initiative on critical illness insurance premium cuts is great news for consumers. Lower premiums when health exclusions are added for cancer or multiple sclerosis is very positive for consumers. What I want to know is when all the other insurers are going to follow suit?”
Michael Whyte at Aviva says, "Critical illness cover offers financial support to customers during a particularly difficult time. We recognise that every customer is an individual and their circumstances differ. This latest improvement represents another step in making our cover more accessible, affordable and relevant to our customers".
