Health-on-Line, the online health insurance provider comments on the increase in sales it has seen in the first few weeks of 2009. With an increase of 25% in sales over the same period last year, Health-on-Line puts this growth down to a combination of the time of year and the current economic conditions.
Mike Dalby says “January tends to be a time of year when many people are reviewing their financial arrangements, rationalising and determining what they need and how much they can spend over the coming year. This year, we believe this has been exacerbated by the economic climate. Not only are individuals looking to review their budget but they obviously want to make savings. They are looking at alternative suppliers and providers of services. Health-on-Line is able to save customers an average of 36% a month on their health insurance. Rather than cancelling their health insurance cover completely and potentially missing out on the benefits of continuous cover, people are looking to revise their policy or shop around in order to make savings".
