So-called 'mummy makeovers' are already common in the US and it appears that they are growing in popularity in the UK.
According to a new report in the Guardian, many new mums are opting to have cosmetic surgery on their breasts and a tummy tuck
to return their bodies to their pre-pregnancy state.
Dr Angelica Kavouni, a Harley Street specialist who offers surgery for such women, revealed: "The type of women I tend to see have already lost a considerable amount of weight and are more or less back to their pre-pregnancy weight.
"They are the type who do yoga while they're pregnant, take care of their nutrition and find that although they have tried to take all the precautions, there are two problems - loose skin on the abdomen and breasts that never recover."
Dr Kavouni insisted that these women are not obsessed with having cosmetic surgery, rather they want a "very specific" procedure that will correct their body.
The expert is so convinced by the procedure that she even had a breast lift
herself after having her two children.
"Of course, you don't have to have it done, you don't have to wear a bikini again - but why shouldn't you?" she pointed out.
