The Institute of Directors (IoD) has selected Westfield Health to provide an exclusive health cash plan for their members.
The new IoD Health Plan brings together a blend of eight healthcare benefits and services.
Sarah Ready, Commercial Director at the IoD, says: “Healthcare has certainly become a priority for our members in both their business and their private lives. As a result, the IoD has identified some of the important healthcare issues facing our members and, in association with Westfield Health, we have developed a health plan that works perfectly as stand-alone cover or to complement existing Private Medical Insurance (PMI). Westfield was chosen after a thorough and comprehensive selection process. Their impeccable record of innovative products and customer service really stood out."
The IoD Health Plan gives employees money back towards the cost of everyday healthcare such as dental treatment and eye care.
It also provides fast access to health screening, diagnostic scanning and specialist consultations, making it easy for the ‘worried working’, or those off work awaiting an NHS appointment, to achieve a quick diagnosis. The scanning benefit enables employees to access MRI, CT and PET scans that can crucially diagnose serious conditions early.
A 24-hour GP telephone consultation benefit tackles the current problem of GP access; employees can call the helpline and arrange to speak to a GP at a time to suit them – even from outside the UK.
IoD members have two options – to purchase the plan for their staff or join on a personal basis. No medical is needed prior to joining and premiums don’t increase with age.
On corporate cover only , for an additional premium, members can also purchase optional ‘For Kids’ cover for dependent children and/or ‘Surgery Choices’, which covers up to 60 different surgical procedures normally classed by the NHS as non-urgent.
As a worldwide association of members, the Institute of Directors (IoD) provides a professional network that reaches into every corner of the business community. Membership spans the whole spectrum of international business leadership, from the largest public companies to the smallest private firms.
Membership of the IoD is individual - each member joins the IoD in his or her capacity as a director.
All members have access to facilities in the heart of London and across the UK in Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester, Nottingham and Reading.
