HSF urges customers to use GP advice Line

Health cash insurer HSF health plan is urging customers to consider using a privately run GP Advice Line. This follows the news that the NHS Direct call centre is often charging tax payers for using its medical advice phone lines.

HSF health plan GP Advice Line provides 24-hour seven-day-a-week unlimited access to a team of qualified, practicing GPs. New research into the service suggests that using it could cut the need for doctors’ visits by more than two thirds. A staggering 70 per cent of consultations resulted in the caller being given an effective diagnosis and clear course of action without referral to another medical professional.

As well as the 24-hour GP Advice Line, HSF health plan also offers a Stress Counselling Line, which is staffed by nurse counsellors, 365 days a year, and a Legal Advice Line.

HSF health plans with a GP advice line start from as little as £18 per month. As well as covering the individual, it also covers their partner and any children under 18, at no extra cost.
