HealthSure links with Manchester City

Manchester based health cash insurer HealthSure has become the official healthcare partner to Manchester City.

New boss James Glover plans changes. He wants the company to be much more active in the local community.

He is now looking to expand on the range of services it offers, and says: "We are looking at introducing counselling services to help companies deal with stress in the workplace and are introducing flu jabs as part of the packages."

The SimplyHealth subsidiary provides health cash plans to 150,000 people. Plans start at £1 a week and go up to £7.50 - covering individuals for hundreds of pounds worth of dental and optical treatment each year.

James Glover adds, “Once upon a time things like dental and optical checks were free of charge and access to these services was relatively easy. However, in recent years this has changed considerably and more and more people realise they have to plan for their healthcare needs. Plans like ours are for both everyday and rainy days in that customers can save for everyday basic health needs as well as for unforeseen events. Our plans pay out for things like physiotherapy sessions as well a lump sum to cover loss of income in the event of someone being admitted to hospital. HealthSure also covers both NHS and private treatment. “

HealthSure health cash plans are designed around helping meet the cost of everyday healthcare, by offering you the opportunity to claim towards 26 different healthcare treatments.

There is also an added bonus that if you buy the individual health cash plan before 31st December 2007, you are entitled to £15 worth of Boots vouchers absolutely free.
