A cosmetic doctor in Harley Street is offering a new anti-ageing skin treatment that can help to restore the firmness and elasticity of the face, decolletage, hands and buttocks.
Dr Alexandra Chambers is one of a handful of private doctors in Europe to use Gold Thread Skin Rejuvenation treatment.
The non-surgical cosmetic treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic and involves tiny gold threads which are passed through the skin to create a net-like structure under the skin's surface.
The threads are invisible from the outside and provide a mechanical support for the skin, triggering the production of collagen and elastin fibres.
Dr Chambers revealed: "New blood vessels appear in the area, skin becomes firmer and thicker with a better blood supply. It can be effective for up to ten years."
The cosmetic treatment is already rumoured to have been used by celebrities such as Sharon Stone, Demi Moore and Catherine DeNeuve and it costs from £1,800.
