Harley Medical Group booked out for 'WAG week'

The Manchester clinic of the Harley Medical Group has revealed that its appointment book was full for an entire week leading up to the wedding of Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin.

According to the cosmetic surgery group, the seven days have been dubbed 'WAG week' thanks to the clinic's close proximity to the homes of many of the nation's most infamous footballers' wives and girlfriends.

The demand was so great - with bookings increasing by 40 per cent - that the clinic had to draft in additional staff from its Birmingham and Harley Street clinics in order to cope.

Clinic manager and nurse Magdalena Seketa described the period as "crazy", with the most popular procedures including botox, injectible lip fillers, skin-rejuvenating microdermabrasion treatments and laser hair removal.

"The phones started going about two months ago with women booking in for line removing and lip boosting treatments," she revealed.

However, Harley Medical Group director Liz Dale noted that the increased demand was not only due to WAGs, as plenty of men also booked in for cosmetic surgery to enhance their appearance.
