Goodhealth Worldwide registers with Health Authority in Abu Dhabi

Goodhealth Worldwide, an Aetna Company and one of the leading providers of international private medical insurance for people living and working outside their country of citizenship, has received the additional credentials necessary to continue to administer expatriate insurance benefits in Abu Dhabi.

Goodhealth, which already holds a UAE licence, registered with the Health Authority - Abu Dhabi in January 2008 and, with Royal & SunAlliance, is now one of 27 entities authorised to offer expatriate insurance in the Emirate.

The Abu Dhabi government recently ruled that all expatriates working and residing in the Emirate must have health insurance.

This new health insurance law also applies to visitors staying in the Emirate for more than two months.

“Requiring medical coverage for all expatriates in the Emirate is the first step towards maintaining a global standard in health care and medical services for the capital, and Goodhealth is pleased to be a part of this movement. This licence will allow us to continue to bring innovative health solutions to expatriates and their dependents living in the Emirate.” says David T. Youssef, Managing Director of Goodhealth Worldwide (Middle East).
