Glasgow cosmetic dentist creates in-house dental lab

A practitioner in Glasgow believes he has solved one of the most frustrating problems in cosmetic dentistry by installing an in-house laboratory at his clinic.

Dr Attiq Rahman, clinical director of the Visage Lifestyle Clinic, explained that cosmetic dentists often spend "many long hours" designing a smile for their patients, but that the actual crafting of the veneers or crowns is carried out by a dental technician or ceramist who usually has never even met the patient in question.

"I truly believe that my team and I have solved the most frustrating problem in cosmetic dentistry today and we are delivering world class smiles right here in Glasgow," he claimed.

"It is a prohibitively expensive exercise for a dentist to set up and staff a state of the art dental laboratory for their own exclusive use, however I just couldn't see a way to take my cosmetic dentistry to the ultimate level without taking this step."

Visage Lifestyle Clinic now has its very own in-house dental laboratory staffed by master ceramist Ian Smith.

Mr Smith revealed: "My role with Dr Rahman is the pinnacle of my career and is the ultimate service for patients anywhere for predictable results."

He described the service as "totally unique" and said that he knows of no other private clinic where a patient receives a comparable level of commitment and expertise.

As well as cosmetic dentistry, Visage Lifestyle Clinic also offers cosmetic surgery, skin rejuvenation and life coaching.
