George Michael arrested for possession of drugs

Pop star George Michael has been cautioned by police for possessing drugs, understood to be crack cocaine.

The former Wham star who turned multi-millionaire singer was arrested following a tip-off from a suspicious toilet attendant after he was seen loitering in underground loos in London's Hampstead Heath on Friday.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "I can confirm that a 45-year-old man was arrested on September 19 on suspicion of possession of drugs in the Hampstead Heath area.

"He was taken to a north London police station where he received a caution for possession of class A and class C drugs."

Recently George Michael was given a two-year driving ban after pleading guilty to driving while unfit through drugs. He was found slumped at the wheel of his car.
