IDF Europe has set up a new travel insurance
policy for people living with diabetes in Europe. Arranged by PSR Insurance
Brokers, it is underwritten by AXA Insurance and only available online.
The policy offers cover for diabetes as standard
provided that the condition is controlled on normal medication and not related
to any complications such as impaired kidney function, heart disease,
peripheral vascular disease, leg or foot ulcers, retinal damage, nerve damage,
amputation of foot or leg, liver damage.
The maximum age is 70.The policy offers
comprehensive cover and is competitively priced. It includes cover for the
following:
- cancellation & curtailment
- emergency medical & other expenses
- hospital benefit
- personal accident
- baggage, money, passport and documents
- personal liability
- delayed & missed departure
- legal expenses & assistance
The policy is available to any person living in
over 30 European countries.
The International Diabetes Federation European
Region (IDF Europe), represents 65 diabetes associations in 47 European
countries.
