Just 6%
of parents have a critical illness policy in place, but one out of three has no
idea whether or not their policy covers their children, according to research
from Ageas Protect.
Of the
one million parents who have a policy, 35% are just themselves covered while
their children are not.
Andy Milburn of Ageas Protect says: "We need to educate existing
critical illness customers on the value of their existing cover, especially
parents.”
