People applying for income protection from Cirencester Friendly can now arrange for a nurse to visit them at home in order to assess their health, rather than visiting their GP. The nurse from Medicals Direct will carry out a range of tests including measuring blood pressure, the results of which will be immediately available to Cirencester Friendly, which will then process the application.
Paul Hudson of Cirencester Friendly says, "Waiting for GPs to provide us with information and test results are two of the biggest causes of hold-ups in our application process. By offering nurse screenings and working with Medicals Direct to obtain GP reports we hope to reduce our application turnaround times."
