General Healthcare Group has entered into a joint venture with Sentosa UK Limited, a cooperative of 18 consultants, GPs and dentists in Brentford, West London. Through the venture, GHG’s major subsidiary BMI Healthcare, the UK’s largest independent provider of private healthcare, will assume the management and day-to-day operations of the clinic, which will now be called BMI Syon Clinic.
The BMI Syon Clinic site was originally acquired by Sentosa in 2005 and refurbished into a state-of-the-art medical facility with nine consulting rooms, an imaging suite and a dental department. BMI Healthcare has now partnered with Sentosa to help fully develop and deliver on its vision to develop the clinic into a high-tech medical centre offering a range of outpatient services including cardiology, dentistry, gastroenterology, orthopaedics, plastics, general medicine, ENT, general surgery, gynaecology, urology physiotherapy and radiology.
As part of the new arrangement, the joint venture will develop BMI Syon Clinic’s facilities and services by installing new imaging equipment, introducing a pathology service, walk-in-minor injuries unit and private GP service. BMI Syon Clinic patients requiring inpatient treatment will primarily be referred to BMI The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow, BMI The Princess Margaret Hospital in Windsor and BMI The Runneymede hospital in Chertsey.
Adrian Fawcett, chief executive of General Healthcare Group comments, “We are very pleased to be entering a joint venture with Sentosa UK and to welcome BMI Syon Clinic to the BMI Healthcare family of hospitals and clinics. With the wide array of outpatient specialties and services offered by excellent consultants and GPs at the Clinic and its convenient location to several London hospitals, BMI Syon Clinic is a great option for patients living or working in West London and perfectly complements our growing business in the Greater London region.”
