A third of men would consider breast reduction

Moobs
More than one in three men would consider male breast reduction surgery, according to a new poll by MaleHealth.

Researchers found that 74 per cent of men are embarrassed by the size of their breasts, with 38 per cent saying they would consider breast reduction surgery and a further 21 per cent saying they might consider it.

The website found that some men were "devastated" by the development of their breasts, while others described a sense of "shame" and felt the need to cover up with loose clothing in public.

However, while some men were adamant that they would never consider cosmetic surgery to reduce their breast size, others had already gone under the knife and been grateful for the results.

One 44-year-old American told the MaleHealth survey: "I had surgery a few years ago and it was the single best decision of my adult life... I would do it again, no matter what the cost."

Recent figures from the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons revealed that there has been a 44 per cent increase in the number of men having breast reduction surgery.
