HSA launches new dental and optical health insurance plan

Health cash market leader HSA has launched a new health cash plan for businesses which concentrates on dental and optical benefits.

It also includes access to a telephone helpline, face-to-face counselling, and a choice of benefit levels.

"The proposed dentistry reforms to be brought in this year mean that the cost of everyday consultations are likely to significantly increase from current NHS charges due to the new banding proposals. This, together with high inflation on spectacle products, means that the extra support to help access these essential healthcare services will be very useful to employees.” says a spokeswoman for HSA.

The new standalone product is for companies insuring ten or more individuals. Cost per person varies from £4 up to £12 per month, depending on the benefit level selected.

Other health cash plans for businesses have also been improved from February, with higher cash back levels on dental and optical benefits
