A new range of medical insurance options have been launched by private healthcare provider Integra Global.
The products allow customers to monitor their own health records electronically and have been designed specifically with the needs of expatriates in mind.
Philip Catterton, managing director of Integra Gobal, said: "Many of our members have been on numerous expat assignments and hence have physicians in several different locations."
He added that "trying to keep track of health records was a nightmare for them" and explained that Integra's new personal monitoring tool "enables the management of their health records with medical providers located worldwide".
In a recent survey of countries of the world, HSBC found Canada to be the most desirable country for expatriates.
However, when judged for healthcare alone the survey found that Bahrain to be top of the league due to the country's small population and abundance of both private and public medical facilities.
What's better? Private or NHS healthcare?
