People suffering with depression may want to consider the advantages of
hypnotherapy treatment.
Caroline Carr, hypnotherapist, life coach and founder of
mypartnerisdepressed.com, said that the illness is caused by many factors and
people may need to try a range of medications and methods before finding the
most suitable one for them.
"I have found that hypnotherapy can be very helpful in the treatment of
some depression, depending on the cause of depression," she said.
Ms Carr explained that biological, physical and chemical triggers can
provoke the onset of the condition and sometimes anti-depressant drugs are not
always the best long-term solution.
Hypnosis can be particularly effective in dealing with issues created by the
subconscious, the expert added.
According to the Royal College of Psychiatrists, most people with depression
experience a number of symptoms.
These include, but are not limited to, loss of appetite, suicidal thoughts,
increased irritability and poorer decision making skills.
