Just days after two of its consultants made the Britain’s Top Fifty
Surgeon’s list, a Birmingham private hospital has announced ‘superb’ new
patient satisfaction figures.
BMI Priory Hospital consultants Mr Rob Scott and Andre Jackowski were
the only two West Midlands surgeons selected for the prestigious top fifty list
published by The Times.
Now patient satisfaction figures, independently compiled by Howard
Warwick Associates Ltd showed almost 100 per cent approval ratings in four key
areas at the hospital in Priory Road, Edgbaston.
Nearly 4,400 patients were questioned between October 2010 and
September 2011. The results showed 99.8% of patients were impressed with their
surgeon or physician, with the exact same amount saying they had been treated
“with respect and dignity”.
Quality of care got top marks from 99.3% of those questioned while the
same amount of patients said they would recommend the hospital to other people.
Tony Yates, recently appointed Executive Director at BMI Priory, said
he was delighted with the results which “show a superb team effort across the
whole hospital, from the cleaners and catering through to our nurses and
consultants.”
He added: “It is vital that the information we gather from the patient
survey is accurate and independent so that we really know what we are doing
right and if any areas need improvement.
“The
hospital already has an excellent reputation throughout the region, as the
inclusion of two of our consultants in the Times Top Fifty list shows. Now we
plan to build on that reputation by improving facilities and services
throughout 2012.”
