A large number of people were able to use their private medical insurance in 2009. Hundreds of thousands of people across the UK were grateful for their private medical insurance policy.
According to Laing and Buisson's Healthcare Market Review 2010/11, independent hospitals around the country dealt with 625,000 cases in 2009 that were paid for with the help of private medical insurance. Figures for 2010 are believed to be similar.
