Cosmetic surgery insurer successfully completes restructure

Beautysure, the surgeon purchased insurance product for cosmetic surgery, has been successful integrated into parent company Lorega to provide a solid foundation for future growth.

The integration into Lorega’s long established specialist insurance business will provide Beautysure with the infrastructure and claims handling systems required to provide a high level of service to surgeons.  In addition, Lorega’s City of London based team will now administer all policies.

The Beautysure policy, a world first, covers medical costs if problems occur following cosmetic surgery. The most common complications include capsula contracture, infections, scarring requiring surgery and MRSA.  Straightforward aesthetic dissatisfaction is excluded.

Underwritten at Lloyd's, the product is available to surgeons who are members of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons or the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.

Malcolm Harvey of Lorega says, “We have received fantastic support from the cosmetic surgery community since our announcement to completely restructure the Beautysure business. The future of the Beautysure insurance product is secure. Lorega now intends to boost sales with the support of a new team focused on delivering exceptional service.”
