Cosmetic surgery insurer successfully completes restructure

Beautysure, the surgeon purchased insurance product for cosmetic surgery, has been successful integrated into parent company Lorega to provide a solid foundation for future growth.

The integration into Lorega’s long established specialist insurance business will provide Beautysure with the infrastructure and claims handling systems required to provide a high level of service to surgeons.  In addition, Lorega’s City of London based team will now administer all policies.

The Beautysure policy, a world first, covers medical costs if problems occur following cosmetic surgery. The most common complications include capsula contracture, infections, scarring requiring surgery and MRSA.  Straightforward aesthetic dissatisfaction is excluded.

Underwritten at Lloyd's, the product is available to surgeons who are members of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons or the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons.
