Cosmetic surgery gifts 'rising'

Cosmetic surgery gifts are on the rise, with a major year-on-year increase in sales of gift vouchers.

Indeed, the Harley Medical Group reported a 200 per cent rise in sales, with Botox™ and dermal filler procedures proving to be the most popular this Christmas.

Liz Dale, director at the Harley Medical Group, commented: "Many patients are favouring the non-surgical gift vouchers over 'traditional' beauty gift vouchers as the effects are longer lasting so they feel they are getting more bang for their buck."

She added that the firm is expecting a rush in cosmetic surgery gift voucher sales this week as men make their "last-minute Christmas shopping dash for the ladies in their life".

Earlier this month, X Factor judge Simon Cowell bought £3,000 worth of Botox™ vouchers for each of his fellow judges, Cheryl Cole, Danni Minogue and Louis Walsh as a gift following the end of the series.
