On the 8 July, eight business professionals from Liverpool will swap their suits for sequins and take to the stage in Liverpool's very own X-Factor competition. The contestants will perform with a live band in front of 300 people at Pan Am in Liverpool's Albert Dock to raise money for Mencap. Last year’s event received huge support and raised over £20,000 for the charity that supports over 1.5 million people with learning disabilities in the UK. Organisers are confident that this year’s event will prove even more popular and hope to raise in excess of £25,000.
A panel of high profile judges including Radio Merseyside’s Billy Butler, singer, producer and DJ Mike De Scala and vocal coach Andrew Stephenson, will judge the event. Roger Phillips will be compere for the evening.
Taking to the stage will be Jonathan Owen of Sutton Kersh, Louise Lunt of Canter Levin, Helen Redmond of Hill Dickinson, Robert Mcrimmon of Wilson Henry, Frank Mallon of HFM Consulting Engineers, Emma Devaney of Barclays Corporate, Catherine Evans and Alex Blythe of HBOS and Heather Tomlinson of Barclaycard.
