Women who remain relaxed are likely to find conception easier, it has been suggested.
Dr Mike Smith, an expert from First Response, said that a healthy lifestyle and regular relaxation sessions can make a difference.
"The more relaxed you are the greater your chances of conception," he said.
"So make sure you take time to unwind and relax with your partner at the end of the day – for example try some yoga, light candles, get some fresh air and exercise."
However, cutting out cigarettes and alcohol, limiting caffeine intake and enjoying regular exercise were also advised.
The comments come as a recent survey conducted by the firm revealed that two-thirds of women conceived faster than they had expected to.
A typical woman who is having sex around four times a week will take six months to conceive her first child, the research found.
Out of those surveyed, 70 per cent said that they wanted their baby to be conceived during a loving and spontaneous sex session.
