Chris Eubank opts for cosmetic dentistry

Cosmetic dentistry is the option to be taken by Chris Eubank in an attempt to get rid of his lisp.

The former boxer and reality television contestant is thought to be about to embark on dental treatment worth thousands of pounds to remove the speech impediment that he is famed for.

Surgery is to be carried out by leading dental professional Barry Buckley, of Clane General Hospital in County Kildare.

Dr Buckley explained that the procedure Eubank will undergo involves closing the gap between his front two teeth, and said the aim was to improve the star's smile.

He explained: "The purpose of the treatment was to improve the aesthetic nature of Chris's smile.

"If, as an added benefit, we can also improve his lisp, then so be it."

Chris Eubank was born in Dulwich, London and spent his childhood and adolescence in Jamaica, London and New York.

He has held the WBO Middlewight and Super Middleweight titles.
