Chartis launches CancerCare

As well as offering cancer care (WellWoman), Chartis Direct now also offers CancerCare. Neither plan covers the medical expenses associated with cancer, but provide extra financial resources.

Both WellWoman and CancerCare are designed to operate alongside to private medical insurance products that would cover medical treatment of cancer. The benefits offered are a way to help financially in tough times that may arise from cancer diagnosis and treatment by offering lump sum cash payment upon diagnosis of a covered cancer of £ 25,000 on the standard cover and £50,000 on premium cover.

According to Macmillan Cancer Support, one in four cancer patients admit having difficulty keeping up with payments whilst fighting the disease - with many suffering real financial hardship.

The CancerCare Plan allows you to pay for unforeseen expenses, including things like extra heating to keep warm during and after treatment, transport to and from hospital, extra childcare and nutritional supplements relieving the financial burden - allowing you to focus on recovery.
