UK Healthcare is supporting national smile month with this year’s campaign from the British Dental Health Foundation fully focused on restoring Britain’s smile factor.
The importance of a glowing smile and a healthy set of teeth should not be underestimated. Poor dental hygiene can result in tooth decay and gum disease. Evidence also suggests that poor oral hygiene is associated with an increased risk of developing heart diseases such as heart attack, angina and other blood vessel-related problems.
National smile month aims to improve the nation’s oral health and raise awareness of the different health risks that come with a poorly maintained smile.
Steve Pugh at UK Healthcare says, “More people are looking at ways to meet the cost of everyday healthcare treatments; not only for themselves but family members too. A cash plan is designed to use to meet such expenses and is an ideal way to claim back such costs.”
