Cosmetic surgery appears to be becoming increasingly popular, especially among women.
Breast augmentations appear to have improved on their status as one of the most common cosmetic surgery procedures.
According to The Hospital Group, demand for breast augmentations in the UK has increased by 52 per cent over the past five years.
Breast uplift surgery has also become more widely coveted with a 362 per cent increase in the numbers of women wanting to "perk up their breasts".
Michael Payne, a cosmetic surgeon at the group, suggested that confidence has a lot to do with women's desire to change their breasts with cosmetic surgery.
"A lot of women are extremely self-conscious about the shape and size of their breasts and a breast augmentation can help re-build this self confidence and allows them to feel more feminine," said Mr Payne.
He added: "I speak to many women who want to increase their bust size, particularly after pregnancy and childbirth when they lose volume in their breasts."
