BMI Saxon hands over first wishing well donation

A wishing well built to celebrate the 25th anniversary of a Milton Keynes hospital has already raised over £400 for a local charity.

The well, outside the main entrance of BMI Saxon Clinic, on Chadwick Drive, is to raise money for Willen Hospice. This week Executive Director Rod Morphew of BMI Saxon Clinic was able to hand over a cheque for £416 to the hospice’s Events and Promotions Manager Julia Rogerson.

Mr Morphew said he was delighted with the way hospital visitors have reacted to the well, which he says is almost ready for emptying for a second time. “People have been very generous and hopeful this will continue so we can continue to help Willen Hospice,” he said.

For the hospice Mrs Rogerson said: “We really do rely on donations like this to keep us going and we are very grateful to BMI Saxon Clinic for building such a great fund-raising feature in such a prominent place.”
