An expert has urged those struggling to cope with everyday financial problems to consider embarking on a strict exercise regime, which he believes can help to alleviate stress-related issues.
Dan Roberts, a therapist and writer, explained that there are a range of options for those looking to work their way out of the anxiety which comes with personal debt, but said there is no one-size-fits-all solution for everyone.
"The most important thing is to find something you enjoy and are going to do regularly," he commented. "So, for some people it might be Zumba dance classes, for other people it might be going to the gym."
Mr Roberts added that those individuals who struggle to scrape together enough cash for gym membership can simply try taking a brisk walk instead, pointing out that cardiovascular exercise has proven particularly beneficial.
Last month, Ann Finnemore of stress management provider Getting You There recommended eating more healthily and avoiding excessive alcohol consumption in times of personal hardship.
