Proud parents and bouncing babies turned out in force to celebrate the 20th birthday of the fertility unit at BMI The Chiltern Hospital.
More than 40 babies, all born in the last year thanks to fertility treatment at the Missenden-based hospital, provided the aahhh factor as parents and staff enjoyed a buffet lunch while younger children took to the bouncy castle.
Fertility Unit manager Nicky Mahoney said: “It was a fantastic event. Even after years of working on the Fertility Unit, staff still get a lovely feeling when they see how happy the parents and the children are.”
On one of the invitations a parent had replied ‘There are some invitations that you can only ever hope to receive and this is one of them’.
“That’s just one reason why working at the fertility unit is so rewarding and satisfying,” said a delighted Nicky.
