Holiday Extras is offering more waived conditions, natural catastrophe cover and in-house medical screening after joining forces with insurer Mapfre Asistencia.
The new level of cover includes natural disasters, which would cover customers if their travel plans are disrupted because of an earthquake, a volcano or something similar.
The company is also bringing its medical screening back in-house and has added more waived conditions so it now covers 330 pre-existing medical conditions including: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, arthritis and asthma.
New products, such as those for coaching holidays, now have no age limit or medical screening. A new cruise policy is due to launch in late September.
