Healthcare provider Simplyhealth has donated £8368 to Manchester based charity ReachOut! The money will be used to fund a summer project at St Paul's High School in Wythenshawe for children about to enter year seven.
ReachOut! is a voluntary mentoring programme that started in Moss Side in Manchester in 1994. During August it plans to run summer projects at four local schools to help children develop their key academic skills, while also playing sport and having fun. Each two-week summer project costs £8368 per school and most of the money comes from fundraising. The donation will also cover the training of junior mentors aged 15-16 who already attend St Paul's. They will help out with the running of the project.
