A growing number of men are turning to
cosmetic surgery to remove the bags under their eyes, according to Transform.
The cosmetic surgery group told the Daily Mail that the procedure, which has been dubbed 'manbag' surgery, has become increasingly popular as a way of eliminating tired, saggy skin around the eyes.
Dr Lorraine Ishak, a cosmetic surgeon at the company, claimed that men are trying to "smarten up and look alert" in a bid to stand out from the crowd amid City redundancies.
"Today this goes beyond just wearing a smart suit - a tired-looking man will still look tired even with a sharp haircut and a clean shave," Dr Ishak said, adding: "It's important to project a positive, can-do attitude at all times."
Eyelid surgery, or 'blepharoplasty', typically costs in the region of £2,600 to £4,325 in the UK, depending on which private hospital company you choose.
However, consumers who opt to seek treatment abroad could save a significant amount of money.
